Our Constitution

Our governing rules and procedures are made up of two parts:

The Constitution

These are the essential part, and, as an incorporated body, they are approved by the Tasmanian Department of Consumer Affairs.  Any alterations must be approved by a general meeting of the society and by the Department of Consumer Affairs.   A copy of the current constitution may be found here.

By-Laws

These are made pursuant to the Constitution and may be viewed at any branch library.  They can be altered by a majority decision at a meeting of the Society Executive.
